Ullapool Accommodation

Ullapool accommodation

Ullapool is packed with small independent B&Bs, holiday homes, and luxurious hotels. It’s been a favourite destination for many years, and we’ve discovered several amazing Ullapool accommodation options for you to check out. If you’re looking for a hidden gem along the west coast of Scotland or where to stay in Ullapool for your next vacation, then you’ve come to the right place.

There are a few big hotels in Ullapool. The Royal Hotel and The Caledonian Hotel, for example, are considered some of the best hotels in Scotland. However, your best bet when visiting Ullapool is to stick to smaller accommodations. We’ve found B&B hosts to be really patient, helpful, and knowledgeable, and they’ve really taken our trips to the next level.

Ullapool Cottages

A traditional cottage is a cost-friendly and comfortable way to holiday in the United Kingdom, particularly in Scotland. Ullapool boasts beautiful mountain views and equally beautiful cottages. For a home away from home, stay in a cottage and experience Ullapool like a true local.

Our Favourite: Dunvegan House

Dunvegan House Ullapool

This is where we have stayed for the last five years while in Ullapool. The house is brilliant, with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in — seriously!

Dunvegan House is fully furnished and includes a long dining room and a comfortable lounge. The cottage also boasts a big kitchen, equipped with all the utensils you would need for cooking a well-earned meal after a day spent at the Ullapool seafront.

Completing the experience are three bedrooms, spacious showers, and a massive garden (perfect for my wee dog, Edgar). Best of all, the house is right across from the popular seafood shack near Ullapool city centre.
